Why American court dismissed Atiku Abubakar’s case against Bola Tinubu
According to court papers dated July 31, obtained by The PUNCH on Saturday, August 5, Judge Patrick J. Heneghan dismissed the case without prejudice. In his judgment, the judge held that the “petitioner’s subpoena in this case is withdrawn, and thus Chicago State University (CSU) will not be deposed pursuant to the subpoena in this case.”
The suit, with Atiku as the petitioner and CSU as the respondent, was ruled on by Justice Heneghan. The dismissal without prejudice resolves all matters pending before the court, as reported by ThisDay.
Bola Tinubu attended Chicago University as a male, not a female,” Reno Omokri Discloses
Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide, recently shared fresh details about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s record from Chicago State University. On Twitter, Omokri clarified that Tinubu attended the university as a male, debunking speculation to the contrary. He further revealed that the university’s letter confirmed Tinubu’s attendance.
In a separate twist, President Tinubu tendered copies of his academic records from Chicago State University before the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja on Tuesday, July 4.
The president disclosed this during his defense against the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Atiku Abubakar. The document was presented through his lawyer, Chief Wole Olanipekun, and included a 2007 letter from the US Embassy in Nigeria.
As the verdict from the American court settles the matter concerning Atiku Abubakar’s access to Tinubu’s academic records, the focus now shifts to other crucial developments in the upcoming Presidential Election Petition Tribunal’s final verdict.
