VeryDarkMan Reveals Source of Bobrisky’s Leaked Phone Call Implicating EFCC, NCoS
Popular blogger Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has disclosed how he came into possession of a phone recording featuring Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, amidst ongoing allegations of bribery and corruption. The blogger made the revelation during his appearance before a House of Representatives panel investigating the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
The investigation was sparked by allegations made by VeryDarkMan, who accused Bobrisky of paying ₦15 million to the EFCC to drop money laundering charges against him during his legal troubles earlier this year. The cross-dresser had faced scrutiny following a lavish display of cash at a party, after which a court sentenced him to six months in prison.
Phone Recording Linked to Bobrisky’s Alleged Corruption
While addressing the House panel, VeryDarkMan explained how he obtained the controversial recording, which has since gone viral. According to the blogger, the audio clip was provided by a person whom Bobrisky allegedly owed money. He further elaborated on the contents of the recording, noting that it implicates Bobrisky in bribery involving both the EFCC and NCoS.
Despite initial resistance from the blogger to address the panel, insisting his lawyer speak on his behalf, the committee ultimately compelled him to explain the details of the recording.
Allegations Against Bobrisky, EFCC, and NCoS
In the viral recording, VeryDarkMan alleged that Bobrisky paid several million naira to the EFCC and some officials within the Nigerian Correctional Service to avoid severe punishment and secure preferential treatment in prison. Bobrisky has categorically denied the allegations, while both the EFCC and NCoS have announced investigations into the matter.
The panel’s investigation, led by the Committees on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions, aims to uncover the depth of the alleged bribery. Officials from both the EFCC and NCoS were present during the committee’s proceedings as the investigation officially commenced.
Call for Independent Investigation

The blogger made the revelation on Monday when he presented himself before a House of Representatives panel investigating bribery allegations involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
Also, officials of the EFCC and the NCoS were presented as the Committees on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions commenced investigation into allegations of bribery and corruption levelled against the anti-graft agency and the prison service by the blogger.
The blogger initially refused to address the committee, in the absence of Bobrisky who was also invited but sent a lawyer instead.
However, lawmakers counter the blogger’s submission, moved a motion compelling him to make an address on the subject matter of the voice recording which he released.
The blogger remained adamant, insisting that his lawyer would speak instead despite the committee’s threat to invoke legislative powers and order his arrest right away.
But his lawyer prevails on him to address the committee.
VeryDarkMan explained the authenticity of the trending audio record, stating that it was received from someone whom Bobrisky owed money, as he submitted part of the recording to the committee.
In a viral video, VeryDarkMan alleged that Bobrisky paid ₦15 million for the anti-graft agency to drop money laundering charges against him during his naira spraying ordeal in April after which a court sentenced him to six months’ imprisonment.
The blogger also alleged that Bobrisky paid some millions of naira to secure a choice place in prison.
Bobrisky has since denied the allegations while the EFCC and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) have ordered investigations into the allegations by the blogger.
