During a recent interview, he was asked which leader he supports, but he deftly sidestepped the question by declaring himself a leader.
He discussed how difficult the electioneering period has been for Nigerians and expressed his delight that his most recent album, “Timeless,” was well received despite its release during a period of widespread discontent with the electoral process.
Personally, I am a leader, he told the journalist.
Regarding other artists who chose to speak out or remain silent during the elections, Davido stated that he would not pass judgement on their actions.

According to him, individuals have diverse motivations for their actions and opinions, and as a result, some may not be able to handle the demands of political participation.
“The elections were challenging. It was a difficult time for Nigerians. I’m pleased that the album I submitted was accepted. I am aware that people are still going through a lot in the country, and it is common knowledge that I have been outspoken about politics in the past.
Davido added; “I don’t blame. Some individuals are married with children. Do you understand? Some people are built for it, while others are not, and I cannot fault anyone for this. I’m certain that everyone has their own opinions, you know? And if you do not wish to discuss it, your position is clear.”
