WAEC Convenes 76th Meeting to Address Irregularities in 2023 WASSCE Results
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has launched the 76th meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) to deliberate on cases of malpractice and irregularities discovered during the 2023 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
This announcement was made through WAEC’s official communication platform on Tuesday.
The meeting comes on the heels of the recent appointment of Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut as the Head of the Nigeria National Office, a position announced on Monday.

In the initial release of the 2023 WASSCE results, the outcomes of 262,803 candidates were temporarily withheld due to identified instances of examination malpractice.
WAEC has assured affected candidates that information regarding their results will be communicated once the NEC meeting concludes its deliberations.
