His resolve follows a recent deposition by Chicago State University (CSU) that exposed Mr. Tinubu’s alleged presentation of a forged certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Caleb Westberg, the registrar at CSU, revealed that the certificate submitted by Mr. Tinubu, dated June 22, 1979, and presented to INEC on June 17, 2022, was not issued by the university, rendering its source unverifiable.
The prolonged controversy surrounding Mr. Tinubu’s academic records took a new turn when Atiku Abubakar sought legal action to compel CSU to release Mr. Tinubu’s academic records. After months of resistance from Mr. Tinubu, the court ordered CSU to provide Mr. Tinubu’s records, leading to the deposition confirming the alleged forgery.
