Why Tinubu Is Dodging Arise TV TownHall Meeting – Atiku Campaign Speaks
Bola Tinubu’s absence from the Arise TV debate has been explained by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The All Progressives Congress’ (APC) Bola Tinubu is “being haunted by his exposed scheme to relocate the federal capital from Abuja to Lagos state,” according to the PDP.
Arise TV was cautioned by the campaign organisation not to use its candidate’s image in advertisements for the town hall.

It also stated that Tinubu had left for the UK and would be speaking at Chatham House about security, the economy, and foreign policy.
The campaign organization’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, reiterated that Tinubu would not be attending the Arise TV town hall meeting in a statement released on Saturday.
However, Kola Ologbondiyan, a spokesperson for the Atiku campaign, claimed in a statement on Sunday that Tinubu’s trip to the UK is an attempt to avoid answering inquiries about his proposals to move the FCT to Lagos.

Instead of letting his handlers play to the crowd with jumbled denials and blaming other political parties for allegedly spreading the accusation that he wants to move the federal capital from Abuja to Lagos, he said, the APC presidential candidate should stand before Nigerians and provide an explanation for the exposed scheme.
“The Tinubu campaign conceptualised and spread the idea to move the federal capital; it was only after the public reacted angrily to this heinous plot to sequester the capital of the country for his own selfish gain that the idea became chaotic.
“It is obvious that Asiwaju Tinubu’s trip abroad was a deliberate attempt to avoid the Arise TV debate that was scheduled to take place tomorrow out of fear that Nigerians would call him out on the FCT relocation plot, alleged criminal indictments, perjury, forgery, and inconsistencies in age, name, ancestry, and educational background.
In addition, the APC presidential candidate’s handlers are uncomfortable putting him in front of the cameras due to his ongoing embarrassing slip-ups that raise doubts about his suitability for the position of president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“On February 25, 2023, Asiwaju Tinubu does not deserve Nigerians’ votes if he cannot run for office due to his extensive baggage.
Prior to this, Tinubu’s campaign team called the FCT relocation claim a “egregious lie.”
