Wike Finally Opens Up On Alleged Plans To Join APC says I have no plan to join the opposition party
Nyesom Wike, the immediate past Governor of Rivers State, has denied rumours that he is planning to switch from the People’s Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress after meeting with President Bola Tinubu on Friday.
Wike, Seyi Makinde, and James Ibori met with Tinubu four days after he was inaugurated as president of Nigeria to offer their support.

Wike, a PDP leader, refuted rumours that he intended to join the APC and denied that joining the APC was on the agenda for the meeting.
When asked by State House correspondents whether switching to the APC was on the agenda for his meeting, Wike responded, “No.” No plans. Nothing of the sort is planned.
“We are Nigerians, and we have come to lend our support to the president.
“This is what is necessary. That is of little importance.”
