Gov Buni makes fresh appointments

As a result of the dissolution of the State Executive Council, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has approved the appointment of seven Senior Special Assistants.

His spokesperson, Mamman Mohammed, disclosed this information in a statement made available to the press on Friday in Damaturu.

Dr. Muhammad Sani (SSA on Education) is one of the newly-appointed SSAs.

Dr. Garba Iliya (SSA on Humanitarian Affairs), Barrister Saleh Samanja (SSA on Legal Matters), and Brigadier General Retired Abdulsalam Dahiru (SSA on Security).

Dr. Mohammed Lawan Gana (SSA on Health), Aji Yerima Bularafa (SSA on Political Affairs), and Abdullahi Bego (SSA on Wealth Creation) are the others.

According to the statement, the appointments of the senior special assistants became necessary to prevent a void in their respective offices’ strategic positions.

The majority of the newly appointed officials were former commissioners and special advisors to the governor.
